At least from one point of view, there are a handful of start up ventured companies that will rule the 2012 roost.

List includes some already favorite companies, as well, as little known ones.

Simply, the year of 2012 will be another fun-go-around of a year for tech. Especially for mezzenine level startups, trying to prove their worth in the market for the long haul.
All the luck to them.

Now read the rest of the list written by Emma Haak, at FastCompany.Com

Alright, it is now 2012 officially, and in this new month, predictions of all kinds will be flying off of editor’s desks from around the world’s publications- digital and traditional.

Recently in the Washington Post, a tech prediction piece was written. GO HERE

As in many prediction bulk of the pieces will undoubtedly be about what cannot be done (about what’s already here). But heck, predictions are what they are, so no worries, what the experts out there are writing.

For me, it’s just fun watching what unfolds.  The piece predicted the following:

(1) The “cooling down” of Social Media category.

(2) Bubble will pop for current crop of tech IPOs

(3) Explosion of demand for cheap tablets

(4) Voice recognition goes main stream

(5) Trouble in “Cloud” computing land.

Every year, the lovely ladies at Alpha Iota Chi (AIX) sorority drives through a charity event to help Pantene Beautiful Lengths, in turn, help ladies who’d been victims of breast cancer.  The event this year was called the 4th Annual Montclair State University Ponytail Drive, and I had been hired to photograph the still new but very enthusiastic shindig.

The day was beautiful. I’d woken up to a chilly but comfy weather. I felt good. And I felt good that I was participating on a very honorable charity event. Best of all, I’d been invited to the event by some awesome ladies- namely Alicia and Lynne.

Well, the event had some sponsors loosely structured, but participating with their particular skills and crafts. Namely, one of the longest participating sponsors was Serenity Salon Spa (located in Bloomfield, NJ). As I understood it, they’d been donating their time and resources since the beginning. Kudos to them!

The start of the whole charity event had been started by Alicia (her Facebook). She’d forged the concept, when she was in college, at Montclair State University (MSU). The best thing is that she continued in co-organizing and assisting with the strengthening of the event AFTER she’d already graduated. What a gal! Something very noble to witness.

Last note:  It was also fun to be back ‘inside’ a higher learning institution since my own graduation from college   =D   But it was a warm and fuzzy feeling, though LOL

Anywho, ciao for now!

I thank again Alicia. To Lynne & Jessica of AIX sorority. To Montclair State University. The gals at Serenity Salon Spa.  And to all the participating AIX sorority sisters & pledges. As well as to all of the donating participants.

T’was fun!

My memory of Noel and Claudia’s wedding is as follows:  “family to die for”.

I’ve mentioned before how awesome I thought their family members were. From the two of them and the kids, I believe they are just so lucky to be together.

But it all starts from Noel and Claudia.  The love and affection they have for each other is imminent and evident. They seem like very old souls, holding hands on the new and bright adventure they’d agreed to undertake.

However, all this cannot be complete with out their kids. They are the (sorry for the un-romantic term) ‘cement mix’ in this ultra high-rise project of a family. They will make both Noel and Claudia, even prouder someday.

I know, I know. Too sentimental and unrealistic?? I don’t believe so. The family is rock strong and I was honored to have the opportunity to glimpse (however short), by proxy, a special occasion as this.

Claudia and Noel looked just fabulous. The kids were just gleaming with joy. The parents were so very proud. And the extended family just had so much fun!

For this opportunity, I appreciate you Noel and Claudia, and forever be huge fan!  Hope you know this.
